Meet the CAP Lung Cancer doctor on call.

Tina St. John M.D.Tina M. St. John, MD
Dr. St. John is the Executive Director & Medical Director of the Caring Ambassador Program (CAP). She is an epidemiologist and a former senior medical officer with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. St. John is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine; she has designed and conducted epidemiological and practice-based research, and is a member of the American Public Health Association, the American Medical Women's Association, the American Medical Writers Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. St. John is the author of With Every Breath: A Lung Cancer Guidebook.

In addition to her medical knowledge, Dr. St. John understands that lung cancer affects entire families as her own family has been personally touched by the disease.  Dr. St. John’s husband died of lung cancer in 1999; their daughter is now 13 years old and volunteers with the Caring Ambassadors Lung Cancer Program.
