FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Vancouver, Washington –The Caring Ambassadors Lung Cancer Program (CAP Lung Cancer) proudly announces the launch
of the CAP Lung Cancer Internet site redesign. CAP Lung Cancer is pleased to
offer the community this state-of-the-art resource. The redesigned site is more user-friendly,
and introduces many new features and enhancements of existing tools and
activities. “Facing a diagnosis of lung cancer can
be one of the most challenging experiences a family goes through. Providing easy access to information and
resources commonly needed by lung cancer patients and their loved ones is our
goal at CAP Lung Cancer,” said Cindy Langhorne, Lung Cancer Program Director. “With Every Breath: A Lung Cancer
Guidebook” is the primary informational resource that underpins the
LungCancerCAP.org site. This one-of-a-kind book covers the full spectrum of
challenging topics faced by people living with lung cancer. The book is available free of charge electronically
for patients and their loved ones. Lung Cancer “Ask-A-Doc” is a new feature
on LungCancerCAP.org. Site users submit general questions about living with
lung cancer; each week new questions and answers are posted, and are answered
by Dr. Tina M. St. John, Executive Director and Medical Director of CAP Lung
Cancer and guests with lung cancer expertise.
A patient assistance resource guide has
been added providing information for those who are underinsured on obtaining state-of-the-art
medical treatment. CAP Lung Cancer E-News has been upgraded to allow users to
subscribe for weekly e-delivery of the news straight to their inbox. Also included on LungCancerCAP.org are a
professional and community calendar of events, a lung cancer fact and resource
center, clinical trial information, memorials and tributes, and much more. About Lung CancerLung cancer is the leading cause of
